In June 2008, we took our second cruise. The cruise itinerary
was to depart from New York City, travel to St. John Bay, New Brunswick, then
return to New York City. We cruised on the Carnival Cruise Lines ship, the
Victory.
Since we only had one port call, we only got one shore excursion. We
did a city tour accompanied with a river tour. The neat thing about the
river at St. John Bay is that it flows inland at high tide and out to sea at low
tide. Slack tide has the water calm and still because it has no place to
go, really. It was really neat, we got to see the water running both ways.
Don't fall for the tourist trap switch that changes directions of the water.....
